My House

I already have lived in this small house for 3 month. Sound, light, temperature, moisture and etc, these of the nature pass through a thin fabric of the tent. So, I feel nature during whole day.

Dawn on Water

I paddled out on the water before dawn according to a tidal current. The dawn seeing on the water is the most beautiful scenery ever seen.

There were only seals who stare me with cute eyes and me on the sea. The water surface was glassy and silent. Peaceful...

Total Distance: 502 Miles

Kayak in Hood Canal

I saw 9 seals and 1 bald eagle.

It was a hard day with against wind and against tidal current.

Hama Hama Family

I am staying in the grounds of Hama Hama Co. for preparations for next sea kayak leg. And I have made a lot of friends who are big founder's family of Hama Hama, more members than this picture.

Last night, I saw the beautiful Milky Way, and heard a water sound of seal. And oyster farmed by Hama Hama in Hood Canal are so delicious.

I am spending good times among nice friends and nature.

Oyster

I ate a delicious raw oyster in Hood Canal with natives who well know it. There was many oysters on beach in front of house with narrow fresh stream.

Helpes and Cheers

I could continue this expedition with helps and cheers from a lot of people, surely. But I was not be able to say thanks for many people in this blog... Please forgive me. It is pain of my heart. Since, for some challenging days writing blog is tough work, and also it depends on cellphone coverage...

Gear Breakdown

Suddenly my sleeping-air-mat was broken as layer peel off. To repair has been impossible... Sleeping without this is very tough work. We have a such possibility of a breakdown of something during a long expedition. Sachiko & Todd from Tacoma give me a great help to buy a more durable one, I will try THERMA-REST, in Olympia City.

Stay in Farm

This is the oldest car I see in this trip, still alive 1920's? car! I stay in peaceful HUNTER FARMS which Bill Skokomish-Tribe-Chief-Firefighter own, since Bob Shelton-Chief-Firefighter introduced him to me. Many thanks for both. I am sleeping by lovely animals.

Cool Firefighter

Tonight I stay in a lodge of Mason County Fire Station. Cool chief fire fighter, Bob offered me it when I asked permission to make my tent, amazingly.

Suspended Nuclear

This is a nuclear power plant whose construction has been suspended and doesn't have reacters. I believe that human has a wonderful ability to study from history and foreign countries.
