I’ve realized that the future almost never unfolds the way I imagined. And logically, the same applies to the past I imagine could have happened—if I had made different choices, or if others had made different choices that affected me. Both the future and the ‘what-if’ past are ultimately unknowable. Everything is unimaginable to the human mind. And that means—wherever I am, whatever life I live, whatever path I take, even if I were to live someone else’s life—it’s all the same in the end: I always live in the unknown, or the One, or something beyond naming.
