The Kennewick-Man Expedition, DAY 51

It has been raining since morning today. They said that it is supposed to rain until this weekend. Although I considered keeping stay here in the tent pitched on the beach today because I had kayaked for about 10 hours on the Columbia River yesterday, to my surprise Joan and Richard offered another stay in this luxurious guest room. They cooked morning and dinner for me also today. I was overwhelmed with gratitude.

Now influence of tides of the Pacific Ocean comes upstream on the river to here, and a high tide pushed the kayak up above the level of yesterday on the beach—the ocean is close.
